Green Pumpkin Smoothie

Green Pumpkin Smoothie
 
Ingredients:

2-3 cups packed spinach or kale
1 cup of frozen strawberries
1/4 cup banana
3/4 cup of plain pumpkin puree
1 serving of protein/vitamin supplement
Almond milk or filtered water until you reach your desired consistency

Banana Cashew Smoothie

Banana Cashew Smoothie

Ingredients:

1/4 cup raw unsalted cashews
1 cup ice
1/2 banana
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Directions:

Place ½ cup water and the cashews in a blender.
Cover and refrigerate until the cashews have softened, at least 6 hours (and up to overnight).
Add the ice, banana, and maple syrup.
Blend until smooth and frothy.

Kale Apple Smoothie

Kale Apple Smoothie

 Ingredients

3/4 cup chopped kale, ribs and thick stems removed
1 small stalk celery, chopped
1/2 banana
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup ice
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
 

    Directions:

    Place the kale, celery, banana, apple juice, ice, and lemon juice in a blender.
    Blend until smooth and frothy.

      Green Smoothie

      Green Smoothie 

      Ingredients:

      2-4 cups spinach and/or kale (remove the stems)
      1-2 cups of water
      1-2 bananas
      1 heaping cup frozen pineapple chunks
      1 cup frozen mango, peaches or other light fruit
      1 Tb honey or agave (optional for sweetness)


      Directions:

      First I fill my trusty blender with spinach--lots of it! Then I fill the container up to the 2 line with water filling in around the spinach. Pulse to blend into a bright green water.
      Next add your bananas, frozen fruit ans sweetener, if using. I push the 'whole juice' button and the blender purees it all for me into a wonder smooth green drink. What ever blender you have, just be sure to blend it for a good amount of time to make sure it is as smooth as possible. Pour into glasses and serve!

      Carrot Pineapple Smoothie

      Carrot Pineapple Smoothie


      Ingredients:

      3/4 cup chopped fresh pineapple
      1/2 cup ice
      1/3 cup fresh orange juice
      1/4 cup chopped carrot
      1/2 banana

      Directions:

      Place the pineapple, ice, orange juice, carrot, and banana in a blender.
      Blend until smooth and frothy.
